Keeley Tube Drive - Twin Triode Dual Overdrive Pedal
From the manufacturer:
The Keeley Tube Drive Twin Triode Dual Overdrive is a powerful dual-overdrive pedal that packs two distinct voices into one rugged, great-looking enclosure. On one side, a genuine high-voltage (168V) vacuum tube overdrive. On the other, our legendary Phat Mod. A simple foot gesture can switch effect order on the fly. Select between true-bypass or our renowned silent buffered switching. Dial in everything from warm, touch-sensitive tube grit to uber-thick, stacked overdrive tones. At the center of every pedal is a premium Keeley-branded 12AX7 tube, carefully burned-in, fully tested, and proudly displayed behind a custom tube shield. Built from start to finish in our Oklahoma City headquarters, this is a pedal you’ll be proud to place at the heart of your rig. Delivering real tube warmth, modern flexibility, and uncompromising Keeley quality, the Tube Drive is a pedal tone enthusiasts will absolutely love.
The Keeley Tube Drive Twin Triode Dual Overdrive is built for players who want real tube feel, rich overdrive, and collectible Keeley craftsmanship in one pedal. The Tube Drive pairs a genuine high-voltage tube preamp with the legendary Keeley Super Phat Mod drive circuit, giving you two distinct gain voices that can be used alone or stacked together.
Beauty and tone emanate when simplicity reigns. The tube overdrive section is simply both triodes running in series in Class A. The pair of amplifiers then feeds into a vintage tweed-amp-style tone stack.
Each tube is carefully selected, burned-in, tested, and proudly displayed behind a custom matte black Keeley tube shroud. The tube side delivers warm grit, touch-sensitive breakup, and the kind of dynamic response that makes a real tube circuit feel alive under your fingers.
The second side of the pedal is based on the Keeley Super Phat Mod, one of our most loved overdrive circuits. It adds punch, sustain, and thick amp-like drive while keeping the clarity and character of your guitar intact. Use it as a standalone drive, push the tube side harder, or stack both sides for huge lead tones and saturated rhythm sounds.
A simple foot gesture lets you switch the effect order on the fly, so you can place the tube preamp before the Phat Mod or run the Phat Mod into the tube side. This gives the Tube Drive 12AT7WA a wide range of tones, from warm low-gain texture to thick, harmonically rich overdrive with serious push.
The Tube Drive is built for real-world pedalboards, with all connections placed along the jack side of the enclosure. The pedal features standard Input and Output jacks, plus a dedicated Remote jack for expanded switching control. The Remote jack lets you control each side of the pedal externally, with Tip assigned to Drive and Ring assigned to Tube.
Power comes from a standard 9VDC center-negative supply with a minimum current rating of 500mA (not included). Inside the pedal, the tube circuit is amped to high voltage for authentic tube performance, while the external power requirement stays pedalboard-friendly.
A vented jack plate helps manage airflow around the tube section, while the rear-panel warning mark clearly identifies the high-voltage design inside. It is a clean, professional layout that keeps the Tube Drive easy to wire, easy to control, and ready for advanced rigs.
The standard Tube Drive version features a matte black face and backplate, and matching matte black tube shroud. It is a stage-ready pedal with the look and feel of a true collector’s piece.
The Tube Drive also includes selectable true-bypass or Keeley silent buffered switching, making it easy to fit into modern pedalboards and professional rigs. From bluesy tube breakup to stacked rock drive, this pedal is built to be the center of your gain section.
Swap the tube any time you’d like with the tube extraction pin and included allen key.
Designed, assembled, tested, and finished at Keeley Electronics in Oklahoma City, the Keeley Tube Drive Twin Triode Dual Overdrive brings together vintage tube character, and modern flexibility.
